Our Annual Highwaymen Art Show!
One of the traditions that continues is the annual Jetson Highwaymen event. In its 13th year, it’s always held on the last Saturday in January from 11am to 3pm. It features the surviving Florida Highwaymen artists. It all started with twenty-six African American artists from Fort Pierce and Vero Beach who began painting enchanting, vibrant landscapes of a disappearing Florida in the early 1960s. The surviving Highwaymen and other Florida artists can be seen at the event painting and selling their art. It’s a wonderful time to meet the artists and hear about their work.
