Constantly gives error code

Repair service has been out three times and I need to call them out again. Nearly every time I use the cooktop I have to run to the basement to flip the circuit breaker and reset the cooktop. The repair guys tell me they have replaced everything that can be replaced. I wish I had never purchased this.

We are updating our kitchen and this cooktop is one of the appliances replaced. We were limited in the choices we had for a downdraft cooktop. Our previous Jenn Aire cooktop lasted over 20 years, so I believe these appliances are well made and built to last. Besides that they look very stylish.

We purchased this unit to replace another Jennair cooktop which was 19 years old and had a crack in the cooktop (from someone dropping a heavy object on it). That unit was a downdraft model, too. This unit had a stainless steel band around the outside rim; it is digital so no knobs; it is almost the same size as the old unit. The most difficult part of installing this unit was connecting the downdraft portion. The old unit had a 5" connection; this unit has a 6" connection and is not in the exact same location as the older unit. I did manage to get them connected; however, that part took the longest (and several trips to the local Lowe's/Home Depot stores). We do like this unit. The controls are easy to use; the fan has three speeds and seems to be much more efficient than the last unit; and without knobs, it is easier to place cookware on the burners.
