Horrible Unit died after 6 years. Dont buy

LG had known problems with its compressor and was involved in a class action lawsuit. Customer service was horrible Multiple hours on the phone being transferred between people I could barely understand. At the end of the day all you get is a sorry they cant help you.

Our new 3 yr old fridge stopped cooling. Called LG they ran a diagnostic test. Figured out it was my compressor. Sent someone out within the next day. Ordered the part they needed. Very nice gentleman come out took care of it. Everythings working fine.

I bought this refrigerator 4 years ago. I LOVED it. I love the way it looks it fits perfectly in my space I love the bottom freezer. I was SUPER happy with it. UNTIL the compressor went bad 9 months after purchase. I lost approximately $200 in food. Best Buy sent a representative out to replace the compressor and all was good. Until a month ago when the compressor went out AGAIN. AGAIN I lost probably $300 in food. I will say LG did sent a representative out a week later and replaced the compressor again free of charge. Neither time have they offered any reimbursement for the food we lost. The refrigerator seems to be working great for now. The representative told us that the bad compressors have been disposed of and this one should last much longer. I certainly hope so. Two compressors in 4 years does not give me much confidence in their products.

Freezer warm AGAIN

After 4 years freezer broke then top refrigerator stopped cooling. Took 4 repair visits 4 parts to fix it. Without refrigerator for 10 weeks last summer. Less than year later freezer foods starting to thaw again. Done with L G
